MeTech is a climate-tech startup dedicated to reducing methane emissions from livestock through innovative technology. We are the first in the world to develop the "Methane Capsule"—a smart device that can detect and measure methane (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) generated inside a cow's rumen in real time. This enables accurate monitoring and data-driven management of greenhouse gas emissions from livestock farming. Livestock emit significantly more greenhouse gases than automobiles, making them one of the major contributors to global climate change. In response, MeTech has spent the past three years conducting intensive R&D to develop and refine technologies for methane detection and reduction in livestock. Our mission is to help reduce 30–40% of methane emissions from over 1.5 billion cattle worldwide, by providing practical, scalable solutions for farmers, researchers, and policymakers. MeTech is committed to leading the sustainable transformation of the livestock industry, delivering smart, science-based solutions to support global efforts in combating climate change.
