The Developer Experience team is a new group at OpenAI with a singular focus: making developers successful. Our mission is to empower every developer and startup on the planet to build on the OpenAI platform, providing them with the most delightful developer experience to seamlessly integrate AI into their apps and products. We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Developer Advocate to join our Developer Experience team. As a Developer Advocate, you will play a crucial role in engaging with our developer community and advocating for developers' needs within OpenAI.
• Engage with the developer community, building strong relationships and fostering a vibrant ecosystem around OpenAI's technologies.
• Be a tireless champion for developers and their needs, gathering and organizing their feedback to inform our product roadmap.
• Build relationships with key developers and help nurture a community of developers on our platform, representing OpenAI at developer events and online forums.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to drive adoption and success of OpenAI's APIs and developer tools.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of all OpenAI's developer surfaces to provide a seamless experience for developers.
• Build high-quality sample apps and demos using new models and capabilities such as GPT-4 Turbo, Vision, Whisper, TTS, and more.
• Shape documentation and build developer tools for developers to build on top of the OpenAI API.
• Proven track record of engaging with developers to help them find success with API-based products, and building developer communities.
• Deep user empathy and an understanding of what's required for a product experience to be great.
• A history of creating documentation, how-to content, and code that help developers find success with technical products.
• An ability to write high-quality code, documentation, and how-to content that help developers find success with technical products.
• Ownership of problems end-to-end, and willingness to pick up whatever knowledge is missing to get the job done.
• Ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines.

• Create and curate high-quality technical content, such as tutorials, blog posts, videos, and code samples, to educate and inspire developers.• Engage with the developer community, building strong relationships and fostering a vibrant ecosystem around OpenAI's technologies.
