□ Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sales Representative to drive business growth and expand our semiconductor presence in Japan. This role is primarily focused on growing our automotive semiconductor business, while also identifying and developing new opportunities in emerging areas such as Physical AI and custom semiconductor design services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales and business development within the Japanese market, with established relationships across automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. Beyond traditional sales execution, this individual will play a key role in uncovering customer needs and translating them into opportunities for tailored semiconductor solutions.
We are looking for a hands-on sales professional who not only executes on current automotive opportunities but also proactively explores new growth areas and creates additional business value.
• Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with Japanese OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in automotive, robotics, industrial automation, and broader Physical AI applications
• Lead early-stage customer engagement (pre-RFI/RFQ) to shape specifications and secure strategic design-in opportunities
• Promote and secure customer-specific semiconductor (ASIC) design service projects
• Lead post design-win execution, including program tracking, milestone management, and ensuring customer satisfaction through mass production
• Collaborate closely with internal engineering and product teams to deliver differentiated and customer-specific solutions
• Engage and coordinate with external ecosystem partners including foundries, packaging, OSAT, and IP vendors
• Analyze semiconductor/ASIC market trends and monitor the competitive landscape to identify strategic growth opportunities
• Hands-on experience in ASIC/SoC design-win process (RFI/RFQ, proposal, negotiation, tape-out lifecycle)
• Proven experience navigating Japanese automotive customer decision-making processes and long sales cycles
• Deep understanding of fabless semiconductor business model and ecosystem (foundry, OSAT, IP)
• Strong knowledge of ADAS, IVI, AI, and automotive semiconductor application
• Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and spoken)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field

• 15+ years of experience in semiconductor sales, marketing, and business development• Hands-on experience in ASIC/SoC design-win process (RFI/RFQ, proposal, negotiation, tape-out lifecycle)
