We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Supplier Operations Manager to oversee the operational aspects of sourcing, logistics, and supplier management for camera modules and their internal components—such as filters, lenses, electrical engineering (EE) components, and mechanical engineering (ME) components essential to full self-driving technologies. Reporting to the Supply Chain Group Manager, you will be a key resource supporting various engineering groups within Tesla, ensuring seamless alignment with Tesla's autonomous driving goals. This role offers the exciting opportunity to shape the future of autonomous driving technologies while advancing Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.
• Manage and optimize all aspects of the supply chain operations, including sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships for camera modules and related sub-components.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement, ensuring high efficiency in the delivery of Module and its subcomponents.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials and components, facilitating seamless integration into autonomous driving camera systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met for camera modules and their internal components.
• Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs across the camera module supply chain.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and incorporate them into Tesla's operations, exploring innovations in camera module components and assembly.
• Lead the end-to-end operational oversight for camera modules, including inventory forecasting, logistics coordination, and performance tracking to support production demands.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle data-driven decision-making and travel up to 25% of the time.
• Proficient in supply chain tools and metrics, including inventory management systems, risk assessment, and cost modeling.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
